    As generative AI continues to accelerate its expansion toward the edge, terminal devices are evolving from traditional information-processing tools into intelligent devices capable of perception, understanding, and interaction.     In the 5G sector, ASR Microelectronics showcased its 5G NR chipsets for industrial IoT applications, multiple RedCap chip platforms, and Android + RedCap platform solutions.

     

    As an important direction for lightweight 5G connectivity, RedCap is rapidly expanding into markets such as smart wearables, broadband devices, industrial terminals, and industry IoT. ASR Microelectronics’ RedCap platforms balance 5G connectivity capabilities with power consumption, performance, and cost, providing more competitive solutions for the large-scale adoption of 5G.

     

    The event featured a variety of terminal products powered by ASR Microelectronics’ 5G platforms, including 5G NR CPEs, RedCap MiFi devices, RedCap smartwatches, and RedCap & Android walkie-talkies, further demonstrating the company’s technological expertise and commercialization achievements in 5G.

     

    Advancing Intelligent SoCs and Strengthening Edge AI Capabilities

     

    In the intelligent SoC segment, since the mass production of its first-generation intelligent SoC products in 2023, ASR Microelectronics has completed three generations of product iterations, gradually building a comprehensive intelligent SoC portfolio covering smartphones, smart devices, and a wide range of AI terminals.

     

    At the event, ASR Microelectronics highlighted its new-generation octa-core smartphone SoC, ASR8861, and its octa-core smart-device SoC platform, ASR7801. Both platforms integrate high-performance CPU, GPU, and NPU architectures, with NPU performance of up to 20 TOPS, supporting a wide range of applications including generative AI, multimodal interaction, real-time speech translation, and intelligent vision processing. These capabilities provide next-generation intelligent terminals with enhanced on-device AI processing power.

     

    Beyond continuously enhancing AI computing performance, the platforms also integrate multimedia processing, cellular connectivity, and support for open ecosystems, providing customers with a flexible platform foundation for developing differentiated intelligent terminal products.

     

    At the event, a smartphone powered by the ASR8861 demonstrated multiple AI applications in airplane mode, including intelligent image cutout, real-time text and speech translation, and on-device question answering. These demonstrations showcased the platform’s capabilities in edge AI inference and local intelligent processing.

     

    From smartphones to smart devices, ASR Microelectronics continues to drive AI capabilities toward the device edge, accelerating the adoption of generative AI across a broader range of consumer electronics and intelligent terminal applications.

Among them, the Tingli Bear Mooni M1 recently ranked among the top-selling products in its category on Tmall’s 618 weekly sales ranking and topped JD.com’s best-selling list in the early education and educational toy category, demonstrating strong market performance.

     

    These products combine real-time edge processing with cloud-based services to enable a wide range of functions, including voice interaction, image recognition, learning assistance, and content understanding. They demonstrate the comprehensive advantages of ASR Microelectronics’ platforms in connectivity, computing, AI, and terminal ecosystem integration.
